The sight glass has 5 feet of 100% pure double copper packed inside, totali is 10 ft . Copper packing a Still removes impurities and sulfur from your distillate, further purifying and improving flavor, while also increasing the proof. The sight glass allows you to watch the process. The glass also tends to fog, when getting into the final "tails" portion of your run, acting as an indicator to stop collecting. This sight glass is also helpful because you can see if your mash is over boiling up into the column of your still. This is known as "puking" in the distilling community and it can ruin a run if not detected quickly. Strong sanitary 304 Stainless Steel Construction, with thick commercial grade glass. The copper packing can be removed for cleaning, and reused for years with proper care. Flow pipe is 51mm O.D. Triclamp Ferrule is 64mm O.D. ( Common 2" Triclamp size) No clamps or Gaskets included.
